whew so I had one of my regular customers try to ask me out tonight

honestly felt really bad turning him down, I get hit on a lot at work but it's usually creepy old men or douchebros being right cunts about it, but this guy was pretty genuine and it was fairly obvious he was nervous and it took a lot to build up the confidence

pictured; me telling him im a lesbian

why do i bother wearing a pride badge to work if im always going to get asked out by men anyway hhgnnghghhfuck

a fuck this bro gets a gold star poor lad

I was actually on the receiving end of something similiar a while back too lol

for pride month our store manager handed out a bunch of pride stickers for people who wanted to put them on their nametags (hence why I have one), and I noticed one of my co-workers was wearing one!

And yeah I like her well enough, and she's absolutely my type too, so I thought fuck it, it's a solid enough chance, I'll ask her out

"Oh, I just wear this to show support. I'm not actually gay"

we're still friends tho which is great, she's super chill

half expected this thread to turn into shit

really shows u the good side of nebuläe
Honestly when the community isn't mired in some dumb drama or the retards with weird views that are either borne of culture or a lack of age/experience aren't crawling out of the woodwork it can be surprisingly wholesome and supportive.

1. What do you think, why is it a 'trend to be homosexual' in the year 201X+?
I don’t think it has ever been a trend but rather that people feel more comfortable speaking about it and coming out as gay compared to let’s say fifty years ago. Society moves on and people feel more comfortable coming to terms with themselves. You’ll see examples of gay people throughout history and they were just scared to admit it in those climates.

2. When was "loving people with the same sex as yourself" began to rise in popularity?
Same as above, I guess.

3. What do you think, why are people so open about it?
Why shouldn’t they be? I don’t think anyone should jump about and tell everyone about their sexuality who walks past them once the street but they should be open about it to anyone who they want to tell or who is interested.

4. Do you think other people ever tried to convert you into liking the same sex?
Me personally, nah.

5. If so, What's your opinion in being forced to like the same sex?
Horrible thing and shouldn’t happen to anyone.

6. Have you ever considered going back to being heterosexual, even if you may think it's not possible?
No, not really. I’m sure some gay people think it would be easier if they were.

7. Why did you choose to be homosexual? Is that what you wanted? Did someone or something make you be that way?
I don’t think anyone chooses, but I also don’t think people are born that way. I think it’s a combination of factors that we don’t know which contribute to it during your developmental years, but that’s just my theory. Nobody really knows.

8. Even though you are bisexual or homosexual, do you think against people with the same sexuality as you in case they do something wrong or inappropriate?
No

ascended relationship advice

I actually did wanna say I'd be cool with being friends but honestly my anxiety got the better of me, wish I did, if I see him again I just might
ok but just remember that despite being turned down it doesnt magically make desire go away and you might unintentionally lead the fella on and make it worse for him

that is true, but I think I made it pretty clear, I don't do vague let downs as honesty is always the best policy, even if it makes you feel like an ass sometimes.

I mean if he still feels like he has a chance after being bluntly told he has zero chance then I dunno, that's on him

but we were both pretty polite and not-weird about it so I don't really see it as a reason to burn any bridges

Its a shame that you are unironically told stuff like that honestly.

I get its a vastly different culture for you guys over there though.
