I use Turtle Beach Ear Force PX22, they're fantastic with audio and have a really good mic to boot. I've had mine for about three years with no issue. Comes with a little box that lets you change the bass and treble n stuff. Should be able to get them for around £50.

Honestly wouldn't get your hopes up, Valve does a lot more things than create games now, and Gabe's even said that they wouldn't be continuing projects that they don't have passion for anymore. It'd be cool if they continued the series but at this point I feel like hoping will only bring...
