That pic's overexposed. It's extremely washed out with too much light and not enough contrast. Darken it a little, bring out those colours, and deepen the already-dark shadows to help make it pop out.
Pro tip. A good test for any dark scene is to load it onto your phone. If you cannot see it clearly in average conditions near a window it's likely too dark to see for much of your audience. This was the difficulty I had with the initial pic before you edited it earlier today @riscow

I crawl out of my hole to present much experimentation. Every step of this pic was a step in a new direction, from colours and shading work to the lines themselves. I wonder if it's come out any better, I certainly have no idea as the creator. Self-reflection is hard.
