the armor and health system seriously needs some fucking big changes done, dude

how come an unarmored man can take an entire clip of 9mm, a sniper round and couple of hits to the head with a fucking hatchet and still live
and why do I get a collateral damage everywhere from 9 fucking mm rounds, and yet your helmet can protect you from shotgun blasts, an armor can take every damage without doing any actual damage to the person, or better yet, riddle someone with magazines of bullets but yet you die from one shot. The fact that people call this game realistic, is unacceptable.

I am surprised that this is still in beta, since like 2015, Valve wrapped up HLA in 3-4 years, beginning from somewhere around 2016-17 and ending at the beginning of 2020. Granted, those are prob starting developers but I'd like to think that Armor & Health system is a second-foundation of the entire game, and I am surprised that it's still flawed to this day.

fr though, i preordered the game, it's improved immensely. As in incredibly much. You'd be surprised at how the game was a couple years ago. You're lucky to start here and now. Imagine a time where you only had Fort-armor, Paca and the Kiver helmet. You'd only have the tiny-dick AK74U, going up against regular scavs which were much more fierce than even the boss-scavs today.

Watching the old videos, for sure. But still, the fact that an immensely armored man can be killed in one lucky shot, while the least armored one can take all the hits and still live, albeit with injuries and bleedings, is just ridiculous. I'd figure that things would be most focused on the armor & health system, which is pretty much the main thing in the game.

The same rules apply for both players, just saying.

If the unarmed man survived multiple hits then he either had propital, healed himself, or the shots simply didn't hit/register. And yes, one shot in an unarmed place can and will end even a person wearing 900k worth of armor. In this beautiful game armor doesn't cover parts that aren't "covered". I had a phase where I didn't wear helmets at all because they just weren't worth it. Although, I recently found out that money is incredibly easy to earn, so fuck it.

ngl im still seething over the fact that I could kill a guy wearing class 4/6 armor with a 12 gauge from 10 metres away, but I couldn't do the same to a guy wearing a PACA and a fireman's hat

the game's just inconsistent sometimes, there's a ton of reasons, from latency to the way the damage model works

at the very least, it's just a beta and when the full product comes out things will be significantly different from what we see now
