I need help

Hey! I need help entering the Half life server. And I can't find the discord if there even is one, to make a ticket. Basically my problem one is that it wont let me make a character. I enter a name, I enter a long description, and I choose my character model, when I hit proceed nothing happens. I hit it again same thing, and the only thing that works is the return button. I am on the updated x64 version also, so I have no idea what's going on.

We don’t really use discord

Try verifying the integrity of game cache, it usually fixes things - if not, I’m not sure. Might be a character limit you’re hitting or something idk

Well one problem, I don't have any characters-

By character limit I mean like, in your description

Too many letters or whatever

167 characters is really long, yeah. Character descriptions tend to be one short sentence, for example one of my current chars has:
"Cowboy hat wearing, suited texan."

There is a detailed description that you can write with a command that‘s something like /setdetdesc, people can view those by pressing E on your character and inspecting you

I just realized something, when I try to make my character...it's like a type of frozen when I hit proceed, because I purposefully didn't put a long desc and then I put a longer one...the at least is still up even though it's longer that 16 characters..

I had a similar problem before, it may mean you are getting connection lost

If you still have this issue: Try lowering graphic settings or shut down any apps (spotify, discord etc) while loading it, you can turn em on later. These two helped me load in
