Send me some of the exotic western sweets

@Pale Rider, even though the one you have submitted isn't exactly perfect, I still must admit that I admire your style. That's exactly what I like about this competition, or good old Pose 'em Up - it's making people develop their own, unique style. What you did great here, is that camera angle that looks more like a sneak peak from behind the foliage than an ordinary camera view. Another thing is the lighting, very bright from one side, but contrasting with darkness on the other side, greatly highlighting all these shapes. Only things I'd personally change here would be quality of the rendering (no idea how they render it so greatly on Gmod tho), and maybe changing the light colors to something less white and more yellow/blue, whatever. Pretty cool though, good on you,

@Heck, that concept is so common, I might make another competition just for it. It ain't bad tho. I like the subtle lighting, and all the little props lying around, as well as these sexy citizen models (link 'em to me, they look cool af). I also can't say anything about the atmosphere, you nailed it, but what hits me, is the fact that each of these ragdolls is in a standard sequence ripped from HL2. It's mostly that that throws me off, even though it sorta makes another problem arise, that is lack of facial animations on these characters, something that could give this pose a good character. Posing them scared, or ready for battle would make a huge difference in how it all looks. Either way, it's not bad just lacks polishing

@Johnny B. Goode, not much here to be frank, just a standard looking male character phoning someone. Not much story-wise, nor does it shine too well to attract me. You could perhaps add some better emotion on his face than this... Smile... Adding some sort of backstory to the background could also back it up, something like photos of family standing on a drawer behind that guy, while he types a number, just briefly glancing towards that photo, as well as a rope hanging from the ceiling, just waiting for him to use it. That would hit us good and properly, get them concepts rolling man, that's the most important thing in a pose

@Elan, can't really say if it's art, but oh well, won't question the today's logic. It looks pretty dope, that's all I can really say

@Danny, farm nebs somewhere else mang.

x2 for that amazing, contrasting lighting

@4lpha, not much to be frank. It's a remix, or an edit of an already existing song. Sounds more as if you'd only change few properties and play it, but then again the concept of remixing a song is pretty interesting. Try to find a song, or even just some simple beats and create something new out of it, something of your own. Thanks for showing this awesome track though, I'll admit that it really does tickle my fancy

@Fred, honestly, it'd be right about perfect if you'd only add one simple detail, a guy in front of the camera, somewhere on a line with that waving guy, like this. It'd cover these stiff guys there, plus would add someone to name as a main character there, which usually just works and makes a poster better. That'd cover it for me, really. To paraphrase an old classic: "a right man in a right place would make all the difference". Other than that, solid,

And obviously the big win goes to @Jer, for a simplistic, but good looking work

It's not really a remix or an edit though. I made it from scratch just by listening to the song. I was just trying to make something that sounded as close as possible to the original. Also, I have a bunch of original songs on my SoundCloud. Anyhow, thanks for listening and for the feedback.

I did it in a dark map so I could scenebuild, had to get 20 lights in order to do that. But agreed

If you have recreated it to the point that I think it's just an edit, then hot damn, you know your shit. Still, the point stands, it'd be better if you'd make something of your own

Hey guys. I decided to get back into SFM and found a very neat prop pack that I wanted to use for some scenebuilding.

I personally like the dark version the most.
The flickering light was also done pretty poorly in the video.
