People tend to forget that Wulfeh catered Globalists to be more RP-driven, likewise with his SNCO and CO staff team. And this whole argument about him nit-picking his buddies? Absolute bull.
Powley, amongst many others, weren't necessarily on great terms with Wulfeh to begin with, but did Wulfeh decide to ignore people like Powley when it came to leadership positions? No. Because Wulfeh recognised that past problem needed to be put aside, and Powley put his heart and passion into trying to achieve what many of us were doing for Globalists.
And hell, the entire CO, SNCO and even JNCO team did a tremendous job in accomplishing a high-standard within the faction.
But with my point, the problem with WW3, is not that it lacks the ability to have a decent level of RP or lacks decent faction leads, it's that it naturally appeals to people who prefer S2K a lot more than just RP. That's not anyone's fault per say, it's just how WW3RP is.
Let me lay it out for you. You increase the standard of RP in one faction (per say Globalists), you in effect start to do less S2K (because y'know, people are actually roleplaying, odd concept aye?). But you see, all those people who complain there's fuck all to do but RP on WW3, join the opposing faction (as has been in the past, Coalition). In the end, you have one faction that RPs, and one that doesn't.
Because, that's how WW3RP is divided, between those who want to RP and those who desire more S2K.
You can't have both, and that's something you just have to face. Me, Wulfeh, Robin, a bunch of other faction leads realised, the moment you begin upping the standard of RP in your faction, there's less S2K overall. SDs get pressured into disbanding our little RP, because Coals are getting too bored, and then it all comes down to nothing.
But let's be realistic, WW3 is just not tailored for RP, if not - at all. However much effort faction leaders put in, it just doesn't matter.
