Hello, yes, I am currently a 9-1-1 public safety telecommunicator trainee for my county. I work on the police side on night shifts, part time. Alongside that, I've been a volunteer firefighter for about three years now.

I'm wondering if there's anyone else in the community who is a first responder/PST or if anyone had questions about the field in case they were looking into getting into a very hard, but rewarding career. Since I'm still learning, I won't be able to give an answer for everything but I can talk about the process of getting certified as a PST and things to focus on during training and the like, as well as outline some of the things you'd be doing on the job, on both the 9-1-1 side and the police communications side, as well as the differences between day and night shifts

Hey there, I do not frequent Neb too often anymore, but I have worked as EMT-B for about 3+ years now. I am an employee rather large private ambulance company. Going to nursing school in the summer, hopefully to get an job as a ED tech and get out of the ems field. I would fratanize about sethings, but I tend to not talk about my work outside of work.
