i have an i7 8700k
i want more overclocking

so yes, yes i do
why not just the new h100i or triple fan noctua cooler tbh
unless you're doing it for aesthetics or want that slight edge and have the money to spend i don't think a custom loop is worth it rly

I'd like to upgrade because my case was literally one of the cheapest available. There are no fan slots on the front panel and no dust filters whatsoever.

I mean if you want a good case on a budget then I'd have to recommend the Phanteks 400s, but it might also be worth taking a look at what Fractal Design is doing. I'm falling out of love with the master box cases right now, they seem somewhat overpriced.

I'm on a higher budget now than I was when I built this PC a few years ago. I started with a 750 Ti and upgraded that to a 960, upgraded from 2x4gb to 2x8gb ram. I'm liking the phanteks cases, they're pretty snazzy. I'll check out the masterbox too

Just a reminder that Phanteks also sells a 900 dollar case if thats your thing.
I've heard good reviews for the dark base pro 900, just be weary with airflow when using it:

The fans that come with it are also /really/ nice, they're Silent Wings 3 iirc

As nice as that looks I'm gonna have to say $200 is probably the max I want to spend.

My current case was $50AUD and the brand is Cougar

gotta factor in those fans are already £20 each, which is X dollars.

I heard good things about the Phanteks Ethoo Evolv, even though I don't like it personally:

Then you've got these classics from NZXT:

I enjoy the simplicity of the NZXT cases

Fans can be a bit cheaper over here in Aus, usually around $20, £20 is like $40

P400S looks pretty

Silent Wings 3 are notoriously expensive, much like RGB fans. That case is nice and the RGB isn't too blinding, a little small for my taste though.

why would you want to buy any of these computer cases when they dont have a place for your disk drive. that's a waste of good hardware.

if you HAVE to get a """"""""""good"""""""""" tower, this is my only recommendation since i dont like too much flare with my computers and it's slim design allows for room > looks.

lol why would you base your case decision off whether or not it has an optical drive
optical drives are barely needed unless you constantly use dvd's and rip music

going completely digital is such a terrible idea, it's good to have disk drives for burning info but that might just me. i was using floppy disk in 2010 for a bootcamp windows 98 copy i had, so it might just be me having a bit of retard mentality mixed with preference.

honestly I think having an optical drive is personal preference at this point, I haven't gone "oh nuts i need to use a disc but have no disc drive" since I built my new pc.

i figured many people still had a lot of things on disc (like me where half of my library of games and movies are on disc), so i didn't think there was a reason not to get one. i guess you could get an adapter drive to usb, but those things are unreliable. i had one for my floppy drive and that had it's own problems, but that was because more than half of the floppy disc were more than a decade old and they easier could've decayed since then making the entire thing unreadable on my floppy drive.

idk, i just figured is all if that was a tl;dr.

My PSU didn't have enough SATA power cords so I replaced my disc drive with with another hard drive.

i'd love to buy one of those alienware cases, the ones with the huge triangular weird shapes
alienware-desktop-category-premigration-day01_HERO.jpg

i dont know how well it even performs it just looks like such a novelty

also im rocking a fractal design define R5 in black, it's got amazing airflow, is nearly silent, and doesn't have any annoying lights blinking and being a nuisance
