Applications to the Soviet Faction are going to be specifically catered not around previous experience with WW3RP, or your experience with military roleplay, but instead your ability to create a character who is believable and well developed. Although you do not have to be an historian to any means, being familiar with our lore and the history / ideology of the USSR and its military does help in that cause of creating a believable character. Your application will be judged primarily on your ability to write and your creativity in creating developing an character. You will be joining this faction, not because you desire the familiar S2K experience of old WW3RP, but instead you wish to engage in a more guided militaryRP, and that you want to play a character, not hog scripts. Although I will be taking your previous record and experiences into consideration when looking at your application, I am willing to look past some minor past grievances if you put substantial effort into your application.

Give me as much information as you can about your character and their background, the type of person they are. Feel free to cross reference with a char biography if that helps, but I would very much like that you produce something informed and original. Do your research and be creative.

Please note, characters only from the USSR will be accepted.

Exceptions will be made only in the most particular circumstances.

Returning characters form 1983/1990 are permitted, but will need considerably more effort in the IC section to be accepted.

Be sure to include some information, such as;

-Origin
-Personal / Military Background
-Returning Character?
-Desired Rank (If any)
-Desired Specialisation (If any)

Posting your application without applications being opened will result in automatic denial, although you are welcome to prep your application elsewhere if that is the case.

Don't bother me about when they are opening, or send me anything regarding applications - this is to allow you a head start on your applications once the apps open. I am happy to give direction and advice, but don't be bothering me or anyone else on the Stasiland team. This is just something to get you guys talking and discussing things again.

I am posting this for public feedback and opinion on the new format, and for you guys to start thinking about applications - so your opinions are welcome and encouraged.
