Basically he's saying that the annoyance people have is that they feel as if the devs are only including these things publicly and making a big fuss of it so the people who yell about inclusion and diversity will shut up and stop bothering them.

I'm saying a lot of the annoyance around cyberpunk and the whole inclusion shit, revolves around the idea they only added certain features purely because of backlash/fear of backlash from people.

It seems less like something that's being done out of creative passion and more like something that's being done as some kind of PR move to appease people who have levelled accusations at cd for being bigoted/transphobic or whatever.

I'm not saying what they've added is bad, more so how they went about it and what it implies.

there's literally nothing negative about the options they've added, and while it may just have been added as a PR move, that isn't what people whine about: Every single post I've seen complaining about it just use phrases like "politics in muh vidya" as a way to hide the fact that they dislike trans people being acknowledged

that's the thing, I don't take issue with the options - I welcome it considering more customisation options is literally just a plus

it's the intentions behind it that I'd say I take an issue with.

transgender shit has alwayw been part of Cyberpunk's identity, even back in the 90's

there was literally an augmentation you could get that'd give you a functioning penis, regardless of gender

I think the only thing with the game itself I'm a bit dissatisfied with is the complete removal of third person cutscenes

I don't know why they've made this recent decision, but you don't need to be fully in fp to get immersed, if tp makes your customization actually matter more because you can see your character doing shit.

still kinda want 3rd person tbh

makes most games more immersive for me and more fun to play on console as i suck ass on console shooters

yeah

having played the tabletop, not augging yourself is basically handicapping yourself

while 10 is the cap for stats naturally, there's no hard cap if you augment, so you can get stats to a stupid high value if you get the right augmentations

hell there's an augment you can get that puts subdermal armor under your skin and it has just enough damage reduction to make all handguns unable to damage you
