I’m going to study abroad next year and need to choose places in Europe, since there’s quite a diverse group of people on the server, I was thinking Sweden or France but does anyone have suggestions?? I do law and live in the EU already

Sweden, the U.K, Finland, Norway, Germany or Denmark

Every other place isn 't really worth your time unless your field is super specialized

All Scandinavian countries speak English very well, Germany is a bit worse in that regard.

I'd either pick Scandinavia or the U.K. Just remember that the standard of living is very high in Scandinavia, so everything is just as expensive

Netherlands has good universities and almost all of them are very international. If you're a tech dude choose TU Delft (big competition) and for economics stuff choose Erasmus university of Rotterdam

Sweden and you'll have an easy time. Everyone under 70 yo. speaks fluent english and a lot of university material is available and adapted into english. Just as Evil said you just have to be prepared that living costs a lot, but Sweden is the cheapest of the Scandies comparatively though.

The Uni I went to in Germany has a great law faculty and is in a very fascinating part of the country, plus in Germany you get a student pass which allows you to travel on all public transport at any time for free. In my case it was the entire Brandenburg and Berlin. I would wholeheartedly recomend Germany for your year abroad, I found it a lot easier than Uni back in the UK, although the coursework was a lot longer. Normally averaging around 20 pages or so as opposed to the 5000 words typical of a UK uni.

Germany looks and sounds amazing but I've only got the option to go to Mainz and don't really know what it's like there

uppsala is the best uni city in sweden for pretty much everything, lund is close second but a bit better when it comes to more science based things generally. Don't go to stockholm if you're interested in the life as a student, it's shite and stockholm doesn't offer much in the way of things for students to do if you don't already have friends living in stockholm.

Nice job getting him to believe the whole "uppsala great university city" trap guys. Proud of you.

Finland #1 Finland #1.

We got NO sunlight, NO large cities, HIGH as FUCK prices and if you're looking for affordable housing you can FUCK off. But at least every building doesn't host a pride party on a weekly basis.
