And don't get me started on cops complaining about not getting anyone in sweeps because rebels don't go to the city, we're adapting by not going to the city and it's we adapted to something you don't like, that 'complaint' is something to fix people's boredom and create liveliness in the city

who said it's hard to be a rebel? Fuck no it isn't

Look at City 8 as a prime example, where a rebel managed to bomb a place full of CAB members because cameras were off, he was BOL'd, for the record, if dispatch wasn't on, that wouldn't happen, the risk on both sides would never happen, no tension to the Union side, since they have their cameras where they please and nobody is crying about it

yet i'm 100% sure if rebels place cams in cistern that does a /event in fakelands about a sweep happening cps would start complaining
You're ICly allowed safety, don't get me wrong, but if it means that you'll just restrict rebels to being 'anti-citizens' because they accidentally forgot to de-equip their glass-shivs then I don't know what's the point of roleplaying if it's not entertainment for all sides.

Everyone agreed that scanners should spot AC's/BOL's, I don't think you literally need an OOC AI that will detect enemies for you, it's kinda like using VATS except it's the entire map, it's stupid, it makes cops not think for themselves, if they hear a warning sound they run to the warning sound and then deal with the situation, I don't see how it's fun, Sectus.

dont go after people like that. Not cool or worth it man.

It's not me trying to attack him or anything, it's more-so me explaining why 'surviving and adapting' would be so boring and dull, as it is now.

if it sounds like an attack then that's my fault

And you dont have him on steam?

I say rebel RP should be 'survive and adapt' because there is no challenge to complaining about obstacles until they are removed for you. At least I think that when you get into rebel RP you should be doing it to have the mentalilty that you could be caught and killed at any moment. Any good resistance movement involves risking your life for what you think is right.

It shouldn't be an economy simulator where you just build up enough tokens and items that you can either shotcop and die when you're bored or sit in the outlands with all your gear and shit talk bluesuits with pipes and axes.

Oh, yeah. Don't get me wrong, I'm all in for the risks and all however, it feels that the cameras and the likes of combine technology implemented on the server are way too restrictive when people start complaining about rebels doing fuck all in ooc and the likes, this, as you said will prevent it from becoming an 'economy simulator' as it'll allow access for more things that someone can do in terms of resistance

Just ignore him already, it's quite obvious he hates rebels and everything they stand for with the shit "cops should be edgy and rebels can not be edgy!!"

I'm more than willing to find an IC way to de-activate the cameras with full PK-risk and without me having my hand-held by the staff team and so on. I've noticed that the main difficulties as a rebel, and one that nobody can by-pass because you can't exactly change how you look, but you can change your ID by a lot of means, but the cameras cut that idea off, too.

Nice deflection of the actual argument there, shibe. Yeah, because I play Union characters for the most part my argument should be ignored, right? That's a cop out and you know it. I didn't say rebels can't be edgy, I said they /shouldn't be/ for the most part. Their goals are different from those of the Combine.

I get where you're coming from Surrator. My position on the matter has always been that rebels should find ways to ICly circumvent the problems that the Union presents, rather than arguing that they are unfair and having them removed. The point of being a rebel is to face insurmountable odds. I agree to that policy even on my own rebel as well.

The main reason that people argue before actually acting upon things is:
1.Getting the authorization to do something so major such as disabling cameras, or in fact anything
2. The backlash after what you've done, the things you've risked and the character that nearly died in that operation, see Ford and myself's situation.

rebels have the ability to be great but they arent able because they're disunited

for a very certain reason

Honestly, as I've said before on multiple occasions, I think Lambda was the best thing that could have happened to rebel RP, but it was cut short far before it could actually start benefitting everyone.

I was into doing heavy attacks and espionage on the union up until I realized that I have to get through a bit of an OOC stage first. And that what makes rebels, most the time lazy.

I'm willing to make IC operations and PK-risks for rebels if it means we can achieve what we were willing to achieve, such as the cameras suggestion, and so on and so forth.
