well that's a very tough question because it's a very niche game

if you like submarine warfare and are willing to deal with a big learning curve, then yes, it's a great game

If you like screaming into the void because you accidently caused a wake by dipping too hard and get six other submarines on your ass that destroy you in seconds after fifteen minutes of work? 10/10.

But nah its a fun game but the learning curve is stupidly steep.

also despite the learning curve it's probably a great mix between arcade accessibility and realistic fun, it's not as autismally indepth as a lot of other sub games, but it's still pretty damn good

you'll never experience hell until you finish the South China Sea campaign

I...I can still hear the endlessly respawning air patrols....

WHEN YOU ONLY HAVE 320 DIVE DEPTH BEFORE HITTING THE BOTTOM, YOU CAVITATE AT 300 AND THEY KEEP SENDING FUCKING CHOPPERS THAT CAN DROP MINES

at least you get the Seawolf

I don't think I've completed the SCS campaign yet but I've come damn close, you just have to realize you can't fight it the same you fight in the North Atlantic.

In NA you can afford to fuck around a bit and play cowboy, you can shoot a few torps at a convoy, go flank and dodge and skip torpedos, then take out the rest, but in SCS it's pretty much full stealth or else you're buggered.

Ultra quiet and MOSS Torpedos are your friend.

The SCS is the only campaign in that game that made me feel like a brand new player again and it was great. The Atlantic campaign makes you feel like a badass, the SCS campaign makes you feel like a bitch
