you have to make your own fun most of the time.

it pays off if you're successful, but i've elected to keep a rebel char just for when i want to experience the other side.

CAB is fun. If you're smart you can do wild shit and have fun. The risk of dying is minimal.

CAB makes me cringe, its so out of place imo. Not every char just the majority of the tea drinkers and shit

union rp is fun if you know how to do it correctly

Rebel RP was definitely my favorite way to RP in terms of how free it is. It has a feel that the whole Unionism/CP side just totally lacks, and I can understand why people love it. I just hate how in order to make any impact at all, you need to grind or be lucky enough to know someone that'll give you a hand.

Bitterlake was the best event I've played on Nebulous, hasn't changed ever since. The PK risk and people getting off on "muh sense of danger" and "muh dystopian world where u can die anytime" really pisses me off though. A deterrent from doing anything cool is the fact that you're probably going to die long before you can even TRY. Some people apparently enjoy bitter and sudden death, but that ain't for me.

i feel like there's no middle ground. the shoot to miss mentality seems hated here, yet when it was done on gmod biz we were all onboard with it. either i'd find myself on a server where chars were respected, or it would be bloodthirsty with poor life expectancy

I think it was a different time period, @Hudson. For me, I've seen more than a few times where the idea of a PK or any forced death was so disliked that situations got dragged on far beyond the point of common sense when it came to consequences.

as Jury i did get bored of dealing with one-dimensional chars doing the same thing over and over. but i'd still prefer that over the bloodthirst style where you might not get any theatrics at all. the live and let live culture might have been beaten away in many cases, but i like to think there's a server culture out there still doing it. i hoped after flash might be that
