i mean between you and me but a rebel group getting too big sounds like a realistic RP issue. you cant trust everyone, yknow

in the server it just feels like its this really odd mishmash with canals and city environments being forced together and we just kinda go "play nice, now"

i mean like, if a rebel group is organised and has a lot of members, e.g. BAF back in d47, ELA now, or hell even things like the UF back in clockwork

personally, I think rebels should stay in the city for as long as they possibly can while conducting activities, but there comes a point where that isn't possible anymore

The best groups have two layers so they can continue city work despite being too large to be in the city en-masse tbh.

see i dont mind there being some sort of "safe space" for rebels to duck into when shit gets too hot but it feels like a lot of rebels use the canals/fakelands/whatever as this space to do slice of life stuff and walk around freely and sing and dance and make a racket.

to pretty much do everything but resist

the second worst kind of rebels are the ones that act like airwatch doesn't exist and the worst ones above all are the ones that say shit like "THE COMBINE ALREADY KNOW WE'RE HERE" as an excuse to be loud and very indiscreet about their business.

tl;dr it shouldn't be the main space that the resistance festers in. im hoping to spearhead that sort of mindset with Hebrew

oh yeah, I definetely agree with you there, these areas are run-down, and should only be used by those who need to use them, I don't see why anyone would willingly go to live in a dilapidated shithole when there's a perfectly good city right there for those who aren't BOL'd

it should be used for organising groups, maybe training, weapons production, and other stuff that wouldn't be feasible in the city, but instead some use it as a place to just casually walk around, no masks or anything, completely open to scanners

What I've been saying and what I've been ridiculed for ever since I started on Helix and late-CW (with the fakelands).

Resistances integrated into society makes so much more sense, but nobody wants to do it because it'll take away their cop-shooting funtime.

the two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive

you can still do hit and run attacks/bomb cops whilst integrated with the general populace so long as your group is small and discreet enough

but, there is a point where groups get big enough to justify expansion

The maps just don't facilitate this cause they all have designated rebel areas

(@Generic) well true, but I think the amount of trials and errors leading up to a succesful society-integrated cell is bigger than my track record of trials and errors.

Mostly because everyone would demand it a necessity unfortunately. I'd love an all-city map where people have to blend in and be smart constantly but all it'd take would be one successful sweep for people to demand otherwise.

i mean rabid that's exactly why admins/faction leads/faction hierarchy exists

you dont even need a reason for it IC, if you're part of a faction that'd be sweeping them you should have the brains to be like "hm yeah this isn't healthy for the server OOC" and just not do it

if cops/whatever the fuck aren't capable of that sort of courtesy thinking they shouldn't be in those factions
