Yes, I agree actually. However, if you look back at cw and its rebels, they had harry who used to lead a couple of groups. With that he had many strong OOC allies, all which had something that interests new players, gear.
I might be wrong or not, after all this is just my personal opinion, not complaint. As much as I wish to speak more about this stuff, I am not sure if anyone is interested anyway...

Pilotbland, I don't think you should be so focused on PKs either. If you think about it, when was the last time you heard of an 'innocent' rebel getting PKed by a sweep?
I don’t know! I just know it happens, I can cite a few friends who were just in the wrong place wrong time and got gatted for trying a slice of rebel life rp
I am sorry, Pilotbland. But this is not how it goes these days. I can assure you that sweeps are far more lenient then what they use to be, and you are safe to passiveRP with your friends. And this is one of the things I have been talking about, even a player like yourself, is too focused on OOC stuff like PKs, then focusing on your character.
One of the main things I pushed for when creating the new rebel system was ensuring that CPs and such didn't kill people who weren't threats so we didn't have this huge collateral every time a sweep happened. It's super leinient.
@alex yes, I think that's great. But one catch that this might have is that people won't be walking around with their weapons, which might result into new players not being interested in the rebelRP/server.
We had a lot of goals when we switched to Helix but we left a lot of the decisions to the players, if you think more people should be passive then that's what you should push for because nothing is preventing that type of play. Same went for rebel faction, nothing stops a non-agression pact but people didn't want it.

The rules aren’t ‘set’, it takes one instance of a over belligerent cop or a rebel abusing lenient sweeps- I get the headcop intentions and all but we can’t rely on good conduct alone and hope for it to stay well, that’s been proven multiple times.
and no I don’t wanna flag on and be swept regardless that’s my main point. I don’t want no pks, it’s the situation pks for s2k is shit
