iirc, it was released on PC while also going free to play and the owner changed, meaning it wasn't p2w anymore

The game was re-released on Steam with the DLC and the game free, you could port over your save and everyone just loves Steam it seems.

It's more of a disdain for I guess Activision tier practices that Destiny 2 was riddled with, which they seperated idk what crackhead gary's on about, less the launcher considering it was free for a while on activision and it didn't spark shit cause the game wasn't in a great state then either

Destiny 2 has never been free when it was on Blizzard. It got transfered over to Steam with the launch of Shadowkeep. And along with that they released Destiny 2 New light, giving new players a free edition of the game with all the year 1 content, not including the last two DLC's.
