i'd weigh the opinion of any person living in ireland or britain even without a citizenship much higher than anyone who lives outside europe with an irish citizenship
if you genuinely support what the ira did, i could only explain it by either A) you have no real actual personal closeness to the events, or not enough to actually understand what fear western europe, britain especially, was ravaged by because of the troubles. Or B) you're not empathetic to victims of terrorism
this is what makes me happy about americans having little influence over how european and in this case british and irish history is perceived and what influence it has over current affairs in the region
