extending the filter to IC would cause a lot of headaches but i think people should be encouraged to report absurd or excessive instances of slur usage in IC

We both know that people don't report each other which is exactly why you'll likely see the filter extended to IC in the next day or so.

people have the capacity to say some really horrendous shit, revan. it can't all be caught automatically, but the presence of a filter catches at least some of it.

It was really "funny" on my Laotian-American Naomi when a lot of interactions was people dropping slurs that weren't even meant for her ethnicity. And it was immersive when on another Asian character, they got the same treatment. It's not like it's OOC or anything, right!? ;\

I know it's IC but I don't really play to have edgy characters drop slurs of any kind. I just want to have fun without that stuff. Is that too much to ask for? :x

This community really isn't a mature enough place to portray racism in characters, it's just an extension of edgy, unnecessary comments. Never seen it done "right" on here in all my time. A filter for hard r and a few others would be nice.

Some words shouldn't be phased out entirely when they can be used in a different context though. Just toss the blatant ones out the window and punish the rest on a case by case.
