You aren’t really in a position to give feedback gamer you can leave your ratings and that yeah but to call someone’s character application “low effort” when I’ve read them and they clearly aren’t is downright disrespectful to guys who busted their asses for this community

I think that judging a person's ability/competence simply from the effort put in their applications is a rather slippery slope. While sure, there certainly is a correlation between the quality of an application and the competence of a person, it's exactly that - a correlation. I've seen many times where someone writes an application longer than the entirety of the bible, yet turn out to be quite a bad staff member.

I've always believed that when judging applications, former experience and competence should always go before the quality of the application. Of course, it shouldn't count as a free ticket for a position simply because you've held the position before, but it certainly shouldn't be disregarded in favor of who decided to put in the most unnecessary information.

I see your side of the argument Sneaky and thank you for writing it out. Yea, I kinda agree, but at the same time, I disagree at some points. I think it's all about a balance between the two.
