I have honestly never had one positive experience with the police in my life, same goes for my family. I've had family members, including my six month old cousin almost being blinded, and my 70 year old autistic uncle being cut and bruised by them. I do not like the police, and honeslty believe they should be defunded.

The context of it is I honestly believe the Police should be majorly defunded as a result of numbers negative experiences stemming from them for me and my family for many years now.

I also have been stabbed, put in the hospital twice during the BLM riots. Everyone looks at the negatives and fails to see the positives that come from policing. Like ... actual policing. But it's ok, defund the police and make it a skeleton operation. See how things change then.

If you were to half the budget spent on policing last year, that is 6.65 billion to be used in community support and community outreach projects in at risk areas which will stop the crime before it's even happened. You wouldn't be stabbed if there wasn't a knife culture in britain.

There's a knife culture because there's a lack of firearms. We crack down on knives, people use acid, we crack down on acid, people find other ways to mess other people up. Gang culture is not a curable thing by throwing money at it.

There is already a lack of police officers across the board. Cutting it even further will just mean people will get more confident and more opportunistic knowing that we can't catch up with them.

I concede that Police, in small batches per community, can be useful, but of what use is it to send six police vans to a Gypsy site in the dead of night in the middle of a Pandemic Lockdown, Breaking down doors, flashbanging literaly toddlers, restraining an autistic elderly man, resulding in multiple cuts and brusies, in order to find someone who wasn't at the premises in the first place
