This is still in litigation. We ALWAYS needed a passport to get from one country to the other (Just like you had to at airports and such) but we're not sure if we'll start needing more? By the looks of things, it SHOULD remain as easy as it was before, just flashing our passports

Yes, we did. It's considered normal to carry your passport around and stuff, that was the primary form of ID that's used a good chunk of the time even though we have identity cards

That'll never really change really. Either way though, not everyone moves across to Spain regularly. It's mostly only workers who travel here for work and then cross the border to get back home.
