I mean, when the "best" server is full, pulling Pepsi tactics for an hour or two doesn't hurt.

Pretty low though, kinda pointless to go "we're not as good but you can't go to nebulous so might as well try us... right guys?"

My point is, do something original. You don't need to plant our name into your server to get a couple new players, they'll only leave when we have slots if they were planning to join our server anyway.

Fair point, but it doesn't hurt to try, and in case you haven't noticed I changed the name back hours ago. It was just for a little bit because I noticed it was at 100 slots and I knew there was an event today. I'd rather have a couple players that end up causing a couple more randoms to join than no players at all. It's always worth a shot.

I get it, I just don't see why you'd bother with it.

When you're struggling to start up, you've got to try everything. You never know what'll work.

After co-creating Clockwork and running 2 large communities, what's always worked is putting in time and not caring about the competition.
