So what you're asking is.. Could techically a genetically defected sperm and egg cancel each other out?
It is possible, since self fertilization/cloning is proven to be possible. But the chances of this happening naturally is lower than probable, while it would also require the extra pair in the sperm to somehow get lygated and attach to the set that's missing it.
And I honestly do not know whether that would be naturally possible or not.
But under lab conditions where you know exactly which piece is defected and have the correct lygases and buffers, you can do it. Would occur by.. Basically chopping off the extra in the sperm's DNA and attaching it to the correct location in the egg's DNA.
