Surely as a pillar of the playerbase you would want staff to feel as though they can freely moderate their own situations as a staff member would, and surely a pillar of the playerbase would understand that calling someone out on their profile is entirely unreasonable and nothing will come of it.

Im not a pillar of the community as a regular player, the idea of staff is that they can help out players especially as operators, not make sarcy remarks about how they're bitching in LOOC

I'm not even remotely commenting on whatever Tommy did mate, I'm on about you.

You (and for some reason a copious amount of others) seem to think that posting these things on people's profiles are the way to go about it, when all it does is instigate drama. If you want something to be done; take it up privately, be it between the SD or the staff member themselves.

so i cant have a discussion about 1 situation that you think wasnt handled great, I need to jump through hoops just to have a discussion. the reason people post these things is because its an easy way to have public discussion without causing the drama a thread does

But you're wrong; it /does/ cause drama.

All you're doing by sparking the conversation in a public manner (especially when it wasn't originally a public conversation/issue) is handing out silver platters for people to bag out the person on the receiving end of the drama.

You'll just end up branding yourself a shit-stirrer mate, honestly. If you want something to be done, do it properly.

surely a part of administration is hearing what the players think sometimes without wanting to go through the effort of some long report thread. you shouldn't take all criticism like its the be-all and end-all of your time as staff and be able to acknowledge that something wasn't handled well, or at least bloody answer the blokes questioned who asked, it's not some other-wordly task to do that
Randek
Randek
Its not a matter of wanting something done, cant players ask simple questions without you thinking they're trying to lobby their removal from staff

You can ask in private, mate.

Asking things relating to sensitive situations publicly is just /asking/ for trouble; criticism even moreso.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with asking things, delivering acceptable criticism or making complaints; just /do it privately/. You're just trying to start shit by doing it in the manner you've done it.
