<:: PROJECT DESIGNATION: Acid Prevention


<:: PROJECT SUMMARY: There has been a problem with deploying APC's to Shell Beach to fight against Antlions. The fact that their acid can completely corrode through the steel plates, and cause serious damage that takes manpower and money to repair. I have come up with a way to reinforce the steel and I also worked with 878 on a way to keep the acid contact at a minimum. There is a process called galvanization which is coating steel with a thin protective layer of zinc (a acid resistant metal), which serves as a extra layer of protection that will prevent further damage being done. 878 had a plan on creating a fire extinguisher that would be manned by either the gunner or the passenger with hatches on either side providing access to the outer hull, that sprays a very strong base that would neutralize the acidity of Antlion acid. This would serve as a second line of defense that would minimize sustained contact with the acid.

• A more reinforced APC that can be deployed into heavy crowds of antlion threats
• Less manpower wasted on maintenance
• Cost effective and does not slow down the APC.

• Potential Acidity of the Antlion Acid.
• The fire extinguisher has not yet been tested on strong acids,

<:: Estimated project time: 1-2 days of zinc application, 3-4 days of producing the base spraying extinguisher and testing it.


<:: Manpower Required: One individual to reapply the zinc layer after each battle, and a small research team to create and test the fire extinguisher.

3. Find a way to store it within a fire extinguisher

Purpose of project: To help the minimize the amount of constant maintenance of corded steel, providing the MPF with a more tougher APC that will last longer in events involving Antlions in Shell Beach.

Brief explanation of how it will be implemented into roleplay: Having research teams work together in creating a base that can neutralize acid as strong as Antlion's, as well as engineering RP of working on the APC itself.

<:: PROJECT SUMMARY: A motion tracking device that is designed to use sonar and radar to detect movement and heartbeat of any individuals around the unit. A safety measure to prevent surprise attacks from thugs hiding in the dark attempting to mug units that are in a PT or patrolling alone.

• Prevents surprise attacks
• Allows a unit to track movement from all directions
• Useful for tracking fugitives.

• Can be jammed by a jamming device
• Possibility of rebels with devices that make them undetectable on radar

Purpose of project: To ensure the safety of the units during patrol or sweeps by giving them a means to track movement.

Brief explanation of how it will be implemented into roleplay: Units will be watching the Motion Tracker during sweeps or patrol to keep an eye of anything that is moving or standing near the units locations.

<:: PROJECT SUMMARY: To re purpose an APC's AR2 turret to be a working fire extinguisher by hooking up Compressed CO2 Foam Canisters to a modified turret for effective fire fighting.

• Fires will be able to prevented from spreading faster
• More tokens from damage are saved
• Less funds wasted on insurance

Brief explanation of how it will be implemented into roleplay: When a building catches fire and we need fire fighting units to respond to the scene and control the fire.

<:: PROJECT SUMMARY: To upgrade from soft body Kevlar to a more durable Ceramic Body Armor

• More protective against rifle calibers and pistol rounds
• Less lives lost from gunfights
• Easy to produce

• The potential of being encountered by a rebel wielding an MP7 (Which fires Armor penetrating rounds)

Purpose of project: To protect the lives of units by developing body armor that will fully stop a pistol round dead in it's tracks and most definitely protect against most rifles

Brief explanation of how it will be implemented into roleplay: By providing a means of protection during a RP fight, if an attacker tries to shoot your chest then depending on the gun the use it will most likely stop the bullet then they have to use more strategy.
