City 8 needs to be on here I think

neb's always done well on this map, it eventually fizzled out as all maps but I have really good memories on it from neb.

i17 is the map I associate with LemonPunch and all my memories from that era of the community tho

Ok but as far as actual hl2-intended maps go, I have a few favourites:

Despite its awful map flow, I think Terminal 6 is an incredible feat of a map flavorfully speaking and I have endless respect to Symmetry for designing it.

City 14 is kind of an incomplete map but it has a lot of neat little bells and whistles that I wish a lot more maps had. The abandoned school is also just really wonderful for the way it can be used to show the consequences of the suppression field.

And even as a Certified Beta Hater(TM) I gotta confess that I'm quite fond of City 11 Froyo. Lots of really cool spots on that map.

Is City 14 that huge one where you can get beyond the walls and there's that giant empty school that's got the spooky noises?

Almost nobody used v1 after we released v1a because v1 ran horribly.

Always got a soft spot for Terminal 6, small map but I did enjoy the dynamic with the no man's land, and trying to cross it during peak hours of hl2rp.

not hl2rp but rp_caldern is the best rp map thank u for my ted talk
i can only ever think of city 18 has a cw phase four map despite barely playing it
best looking hl2rp map is tied between city 8 or terminal 6, but best overall is probably i17 because cmon ofc it is

Something about rp_city17 makes me happy. It isn't great gameplaywise but nothing captures the feeling. Also i17.

I would have to say for old, old OGs, City 18 life was the good life. C45, too. Oddly enough, I liked City 11 as much as it didn't get used.

T6 is a map I want to love more for the aesthetics but the flow is awful because Sym hated having armed rebels squatting in places so made it basically impossible for them to move around - which meant underground routes don't exist at all.

then coast, unironically such a good map

then i17, yep we spent most of our lives there and it definitely shouldn't be used again, but overall it was the best of the cityrp options
