I got inspired by Danny's thread. Analog is a fun hobby to have. Film looks better in my opinion than digital.

I use a Minolta X-570 and a Holga 135BC.

I took some random photos to test the camera. Most of the shots were kind of shit, but I got a few I like.

There's some light leak issues which I need to fix. I shot with with Fujifilm Professional 400 on my Minolta X-570

If its any use I had the same issue and instead of just refitting the light seals like a normal person I decided to just use black electric tape to cover the gaps each time I load a new roll - assuming that your camera has surfaces that can be easily covered with tape

Some shots I didn't include but might as well.

Film has a way of making things look vintage and interesting imo, even if the subject is just a shitty "Mexican" fast food place.

I cropped this to make the composition a little better. This is the Tropicana Hotel and Casino. Same building as the photo in my OP, but vertical.

The slight grain to the photos makes me think of the early 2000s for some reason. Riding with my dad to Blockbuster to look at the Xbox games and get a movie for that night. Maybe picking up Taco Bell on the way home. I wanna go back.

I was finally able to test my Holga 135BC. It's a point and shoot, and pretty lo-fi. The film was cross processed. No photoshop was used except to crop.

I took these photos at Lake Mead and Lone Mountain Park.

Yeah. All of it was taken in Vegas, except for the latest photos, which were in Boulder City. thank you :)

How much did your Minolta X-570 cost and where did you get it from?

It was 100 dollars off of Craigslist, and that was overpriced. With inflation taken into account, it was a thousand dollar camera from the 80s.
