GP-5 masks can be worn if you use a very obscure Polish variant of the GP-5 filter, called the FP-5

however i highly advice against walking around with the condom mask. it retains heat greatly and you look like a spastic or someone that's 5 minutes away from launching a gas attack

covid cases are sort of falling now here

we’re supposed to begin receiving vaccines in february, around 6k, expected to have around 800k by the end of the year, which with 2 vaccines per person is gonna be around 1 in 5 people

im hopeful but I fully expect our cases to spike up again in the next few weeks cause people see cases start falling and get more lax about it

Honestly I’m pretty disappointed in the way everything was handled, currently at around 90k cases with 73k recovered and 2.7k deaths (which puts us just under the UK per capita)

Hopefully we can get it under control by next year

in the end the uk leaving the eu has allowed us to bid individually for the vaccine while eu states are suffering from the collective approach, while we have the highest share of population vaccinated of all G7 countries

    there’s always a silver lining

because the state of our news outlets is dire and we have had nothing but 'brexit bad' on loop since day 1 of the referendum. you'd think it would be uplifting and beneficial to tell the nation that we are paving the way in regards to vaccinations while the EU are still under a cloud of bureaucracy, but they instead put their fingers in their ears and blabber about some trivial inconsequential shit

brexit is absolutely rubbish in my opinion but it's a great thing to see vaccines getting faster approval and thus a quicker rollout, sometimes you roll the dice and it pays off, still not a fan of the political project but im not blind to its positives, need to see the silver linings yeah

as for me, i know a few people who have now been given their first vaccine dose and one person who has had both doses
this lockdown has been far harder than the first for me personally and i wish for an end to this painful time, losing people to this disease, and losing people to cancer, it's been really tough

we've also lost a year of memories we could have spent with the people in our lives, progressed our careers, advanced our causes and our passions - so i look forward to making up for the time that has been lost, this lost time is also a tragedy for everyone
