Although there's no need to be doom and gloom about it, tbh. If Rockstar embraces FiveM/The RP scene for their games - the potential for those projects skyrocket. We'll see how it goes

Everytime something that involves an online community has Rockstar in it I get pretty pessimistic tbh.

That's true and I'm sure the people who run the other GTA RP project (RAGE MP I think it's called?) are probably pissed off with this whole ordeal

It's too early to say if this is a good thing or a bad thing, I imagine they might clamp down on a lot of monetary practices a lot of servers running FiveM use, but again I can't really say for certain

Plus the people running FiveM aren't changing so I imagine it won't change drastically, at least not in the short term.

Doubt it, at most they might've spoken to Cfx about it but that would likely be a violation of an NDA as per negotiation period.

My guess would be that this is likely more of a situation where they were either acquired or potentially shut down.

An interesting thought on this happening though, the reverse engineers that have been crucial to Cfx are no longer needed.
