Had to try and replicate some kind of weapon, ended up trying to do Mehrunes' Razor from Skyrim... It came out alright I guess

looks good my man but try to use other programs than 3ds max to texture, doesn't have many features other than unwrapping
also since i always thought unwrapping was confusing as fuck, see the seams as the place where you knit your model together, that sentence alone made me understand it
