The Netherlands has cannabis legalised, things are somewhat normal there.

Don't think it'd affect a lot of things in Germany, hey maybe you'll het deponieren bucks for bringing the empty baggies back. Same as with empty bottles in stores.

It's legal but also not, the way they handle it is really retarded. Basically if you buy weed it's okay but you can't grow it, and if you get searched by a copper or cought with it in the street they can confiscate it.

Based, weed should be legal in the entire world.

Current law was consumption = legal, ownership = crime

For people who can handle pot, really happy. Just be aware though that shit like cannabanoid hypermesis syndrome exists, before I went sober I had such a problem I unironically had THC blood poisoning and was throwing up and getting stomach ulcers from using cannabis. Think it's a rare thing for a small amount of people but it's like booze if you can handle it do so responsibly. Man back in the day I was smoking medical grade 90% THC indica strain wax and going through 1000 miligram containers in my hot tub every day. Happy for Germany

This looks to be nothing but positives

Especially pushing for testing of substances, this has been overdue for a long time - hopefully more countries follow, one can wish
    Merged:
One of the bigger issues with cannabis now is honestly it's been made out as the safest, un-addictive drug by some people - it's got major benefits but it's important not to pretend it's perfect

I'm all for legalisation, but I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been a little addicted in the past, which I've managed to sort out

As with anything, moderation is important

I'm glad I worked out it's best for me personally to be sober when I was in my teens and not like a decade later. Was really informative for me getting the wild shit out of me in my late teens

when a country legalizes something its a lot less about a country letting go of restricting your freedoms and its a lot more like a country saying its ok!

i hope folks educate themselves out of the internet era of WEED=COOL! and realise that if they've got a bad family history of mental health, weed is not for them due to the posibility of a psychosis.

weed's being pushed for so hard globally that people rarely mention or realise this is something you can both get addicted to and can negatively impact you, your performance and your mental health; and can be a contributor to things like paranoid schizophrenia.

like all things; and like drinking, responsibly.

I thought you could grow it for own use and you can carry a certain amount (like 5 grams) before it’s against the law. It’s not like the police bother you for it though like I’ve never seen anyone even told to put out a joint when they’re smoking one on the street.

Ig it might be different outside of tourist cities

It's definitely common, I've went through periods where that's all I've done - abuse is seemingly a taboo subject where people deny it despite it happening

But at the same time, that shouldn't be a reason for the law to stop you from using it - people get black out drunk and hospitalised with alcohol, rely on caffeine to function in their day to day activities - yet they're treated differently because of their legal status.

There's no reason to ban a substance because of a small percentile, especially when they're barely effecting those around them - you can't ignore it also helps a lot of people - as more research comes in that point only strengthens. If someone wants to get high and play video games, why should that be against the law?

If we would use the same logic of extreme druggies or addicts, alcohol, games or even casinos would be banned.
    (Imagine the reaction of workaholics)
I believe people need to be educated and informed bout the dangers, and after that its their own fault.

I think a country banning something is less about them restricting freedoms like I said earlier - and more about them saying "hey we dont approve of this". if you want to do something bad enough you'll find a way to do it anyway. a country not banning something or lifting a ban on something is much like them saying "we're fine with this".

it's like mom or dad telling you that you cant drink or smoke or do drugs, but they're also well aware you might do this if you wanted it bad enough. but they aren't gonna tell you "hey, thats ok son, we wont tell you no".

this, in my mind is why approval is a big deal. use will go up; people need to read up.
