gmod freezes but it doesn't crash

so recently my gmod has been getting a freeze frame of what I last saw, but the game still works beneath the image. my game doesn't entirely crash, I just get a still image of the last frame I saw. any fixes? I've verified my game files and have done an entire clean install, deleting my entire gmod registry whilst I was at it.

try running on a lower directx
go to steam right click on garry's mod then go properties then click on launch options and type
-dxlevel 91
if it doesn't work then i dunno ;/

I might be to do with the map, if your playing WW3 RP then I have heard other people complaining about the map freezing like it has done to you.
