So yeah, critics hate it because "not enough human elements" even when they criticised the 2014 movie for "not enough monster fighting" while its getting rave reviews from fans.

If you go into this movie expecting exactly what Godzilla is - a balls-to-the-wall monster rumble - you'll be more than happy. Its a fantastic blockbuster with great CGI and fight scenes.

It also has a load of callbacks to the older series, especially the 1990's ones. It even uses original music and plot points from the very first few.

Seriously, go see it.

Sort of? Godzilla was the founder of big monster battle movies and this is (by a mile) the best of the American Godzilla movies.

I'm looking for Destroyah or Mechi King Ghidorah based on the post-credits tbh. They're 100% gonna brawl then team up to murder another monster.
