Serious gpu performance drop after rtx nvidia drivers

hi just asking on a couple of forums if anyone noticed a rather significant performance drop in gpu performance after nvidia pushed out the rtx drivers and shit

here's vrmark performance before the nvidia update:

same cpu overclock, same everything except for a new win10 ent reinstall
i'm out of ideas what it could be so if you can offer any advice that'd be cool

there's been widespread youtube videos and comparisons about the RTX drivers causing adverse performance issues on non-RTX cards, downgrading to pre-RTX drivers has helped a few people

but i haven't really looked too in-depth into the issue myself so i can't necessarily vouch for said solution

thanks for replying at least, appreciated

I've tried older drivers all the way back to july but with no luck unfortunately, asked around on linustechtips forums but so far no solution besides a clean reinstall again
