BEHAVIOR

Never do the following:
- Express sympathy for opposition, you are brainwashed into loyalty.
- Neglect cognitive dissonance updates when they are issued.
- Small talk with anybody who isn’t part of Overwatch.
- Display easily noticeable foreign accents as a PHASE 2 or above.
- Clutter the radio while in combat - keep your callouts brief.
- Exhibit any form of romantic interest in anyone, ever.
- Use 10 codes (e.g. 10-65).
- Consume regular sustenance that isn’t your stasis-provided supplements.
- Express disrespect towards other soldiers.
- Detail what kind of augments you have. You do not have in-depth knowledge regarding this IC.
- Speak foreign languages.
- Take your mask off.

You can:
- Use profanities, but don’t do it excessively. Try to reserve it for high-stress scenarios.
- Ignore directives from Civil Protection.
- Recall historical/scientific knowledge your character may have known before.
- Retain the muscle memory of your character pre-transhumanization.
- Crack jokes when appropriate.
- Have brief moments of familiarity as a PHASE 1 transhuman to certain triggers.
- Express a sense of pride/defeat/motivation etc., depending on the context of your mission.
- Utilize your enhanced strength to overpower singular opponents in hand-to-hand/melee combat.
- Engage in simple recreational activities (e.g. playing cards, assuming you find any) when there is no OOC potential for combat.

You must:
- Prioritize your duty on a grander scale: nothing is more important than your work.
- Harbor some form of superiority regarding your transhumanized state, even if you do not know the details of it. You are the finest the species has to offer in your character’s eyes.
- Be mentally ready to drop any passive activity in a moment’s notice to follow a directive.

ARMOR
For ballistic and hazardous environmental protection, transhuman soldiers use a special protective material based on the development of the HECU Powered Combat Vest (PCV). This material is surgically attached to and/or detached from each soldier only when under duty reconditioning stasis via automated bioengineering machinery. With electrical stimulus from a Combine charging station, the material is prompted to rearrange itself to its original pattern on the molecular level, provided all invasive objects, such as shrapnel, are extracted before charging. This usually requires the help of an additional soldier, considering the layering cannot be removed on demand. Atop the surgically attached material is a full-torso Kevlar vest that has inserts for ceramic plates. In addition, soldiers wear ceramic plates on their arms and legs, as well as a faceshield underneath their reinforced polymer mask.

COGNITIVE DISSONANCE
While deployed, soldiers may experience "cognitive dissonance" - a state of having inconsistent thoughts or beliefs that correspond to your actions. Overwatch can clear these instances of doubt via "cognitive suppression biodat" updates - a smaller-scale memory replacement that might replace or remove an emotional response or simple fact that may be impeding on a soldier's duty. This might be issued to troops under sacrifice code or ones experiencing a sense of "Déjà vu" that reflect upon their previous lives, and these suppression biodat updates are remotely issued during deployment. They contrast the heavier standard memory replacements used to alter memories that foster significant moral doubt in the human mind.
