Just wrapped up the pilot a few minutes ago. Pretty cool overall, some neat world-building going on with the Vietnam statehood and the squid rain. Nice visual nods to the source material too, the most obvious was Judd's badge at the very end but some other quick stuff like Sister Night's gear room reminded me of the Comedian's. Custome design was also pretty sweet, and I like the characters they've got established so far. Pet peeve of mine so far would likely be the sound mixing and the score. The raid on the cattle ranch felt kinda off to me, the Reznor/Ross electronic sound and goopy noise of cattle being blasted stole a decent chunk of the tension for me. Anyhow good stuff, looking forward to seeing this old man explain how he lifts 200 pounds.

I'm so glad they kept this ending in the show, and not the movie's ending.
