there's talk about re inhabiting the chernobyl area now that we're three decades on and radiation levels have died down substantially

why? is there even anything useful there if the nuclear reactors are melted
I assume its just the fact people could move back in.

That being said though it'd kinda suck cause there's a whole ecosystem there now.

are you sure because the last time i checked it was to be inhabitable for centuries

then you should check again because wildlife is thriving perfectly fine in spite of predictions that they should all be dead

standing infront of the elephants foot for an hour will give you a lethal dose of radiation as opposed to 5 minutes in 1986. considering most people don't live in a nuclear reactor, or next to a mass of nuclear material, the exclusion zone is comparatively safe
