Hello.

The Houndeye faction is, unlike the other alien whitelists, directed towards more experienced players due to the potency of its associated SWEP.
As such, you are required to file an application in the subforum linked below, adhering to the format likewise present in the subforum:
You may be denied if you are relatively new to the server or if your ban history raises concerns.

If you wish to learn more about Houndeyes, in lieu of a proper lore thread (this might change in the future), refer to this wiki article, and this series of videos:

The following will get you immediately blacklisted + potentially server banned:
- using the whitelist for anything other than having a single houndeye character. By default, upon creating a character, you will start out as an alien grunt. Provide the staff member who whitelisted you with the following model path to change your class, thus making your character ready:
Code:
models/xenians/houndeye.mdl
- starting s2k. This includes injecting yourself into already ongoing combat. You may defend yourself if engaged without RP or if all parties agree to s2k, but never initiate it.
- messing around. Excessive L/OOC usage, killing people on dead hours, doing effortless or meme'y /mes. You are here to provide immersion, do not do the opposite.
- roleplaying domestication without authorisation. This will be elaborated on later, keep reading.

Adhere to the following guidelines:
- your primary goal is survival. Unlike zombies and antlions, you are extremely destructive in combat, and as such should generally avoid it. By default, you should be in a 'neutral' state, simply trying to get by, unless provoked. Your curiosity may attract you towards peculiar situations, but if you feel threatened, you should run away and retaliate if cornered.
- you can be temporarily 'tamed'. If a human makes effort to appear non-threatening and willingly gives you food appropriate for your species, you may disregard the possible danger they pose for a time. If you get startled, you should immediately revert to your wild behaviour - you do not see them as 'friends' but rather as 'not danger'. Do not attempt to defend anyone, do not take sides in conflicts. You are a wild creature, always keep that in mind.
- in combat, give fair chance to those around you. You should, prior to using your 'sonic pulse' ability, use at least 3 /mes. One to signify your aggression, one to signify charging up, and then one for actually releasing the boom. If engaged first, you may cut it down to 2 /mes.
- domestication is a heavily regulated process. You require joint authorisations of the current Xenian Creatures faction lead and the Vortigaunt faction lead. A bond of this type can only be formed with a Vortigaunt, you may never trust humans in this capacity. Filing an application about it requires prior IC interaction which may not be OOCly premeditated.
- avoid excessively gamey behaviour. Don't peek corners with thirdperson or abuse your environment (from a mechanical standpoint) in any way, use your flashlight only when you genuinely cannot see anything around you. It's acceptable for human characters, but you're here to provide immersion.
- stick to your biological limitations. Don't open doors, don't climb ladders, don't operate airlocks or other machinery, et cetera. The only time this is acceptable is when you're 100% sure there are no players nearby and you're doing it to traverse the map in search of roleplay.
