How to decompile addons?

just subscribe to the addon on the workshop?

but if I subscribe to the workshop addon it will change so many sounds into hl1 sounds and I don't want that

or place the decompiled folder into your addons folder if you want to go that route

@Blackquill I have CSS in my steam just staying there because i don't play it but i got it so that i don't see errors in gmod, so i was thinking is there a way i can get the mats/models of CSS and put them in gmod without having to download the game just so i don't have errors?
Why not just install the game, it's only like 4gb

Sounds like a lot more hassle than it's worth

yeah ik but it just stays there, i don't play it
that's not going to work when maps/gamemodes/etc drawn on other resources (particles, sounds, etc)

if four gigs worth of storage bothers you that much get a bigger hard drive
