    Move if needed.

I'm going to show you how to use your own music on the event server if you require it.

How to upload songs and use them on the event server:

    1. Get a Dropbox account: https://www.dropbox.com
    2. Find a song you want and download it onto your pc.
    3. On your dropbox, click: [IMG] then click [IMG]
    4. select file, wait for it to upload
    5. click share next to the file, for example: [IMG]
    6. click this to copy the link: [IMG]
    7. paste link into search bar but don't hit enter, example link would be: https://www.dropbox.com/s/oear1w75tjqy19f/Moomin (Hardbass Remix) [Extended].mp3?dl=0
    8. change www.dropbox.com to dl.dropboxusercontent.com on the link
    9. copy the link, for example mine looks like this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/oear1w75tjqy19f/Moomin (Hardbass Remix) [Extended].mp3?dl=0
    10. use @playsong <url> to play the song in game SA+ Rank only (i think)
    11. use @stopsong to stop it
    12. easy

How to edit volume in Audacity:

    1. Open audacity, open mp3 file to be edited by going: [IMG]
    2. [IMG]
    3. Turn song down using: [IMG]
    4. Press play button to here to test how loud it is: [IMG]
    5. Export it by: [IMG]
    6. Save it somewhere special

Thank you for this information, but one question, is the DropBox player playing the music really loud? Is it really necessary to volume it down?

It's more the fact that most MP3s gotten from places tend to be too loud to use on the server, so you'll need to turn them down on the file itself.

A note: temp. file hosting sites like uguu.se work perfectly well with @playsong as well, following a test during low pop hours. I can't find other pomf.se clones, but since mixtape.moe is out of the picture and dropbox is a bit tedious, this is a way to speed up the process a little bit.

How well is it? Does it start out loud or quiet?

as far as i can tell it starts out the same way as your sound's audio level

if d47_gnomed.ogg is too loud when you save it, itll be too loud when you play it

that said, the soundfile i used was designed to be slightly louder because source engine. it still worked fine, though. id say it works well with audio levels

Could you do a test for me sometime? Maybe upload the exact same audio files both to uquu.se and Dropbox, and play them seperately on the server without changing the audio level on the slider?

If uquu.se is any quieter then Dropbox I'll edit the guide accordingly.
