Alternatively, you create a mid-size middle-eastern City blok with one edge being a large combine wall. On the other side, it could be desert ruins backed right up to the wall like the Combine just bisected the City and the ruined side hasn't been touched since the war.
[doublepost=1484447925][/doublepost]Large spaces are good in theory, but you can maintain the same spirit by creating smaller street-spaces in the same vein. Like a street of reall shitty looking market stalls and garage door shops like you see in Middle-Eastern countries.

I've always wanted to see the rest of the world according to half life more than anything, like how in C8 Tokyo remains the bastion of Union tech development whilst all of Kiev looks like squatting grounds it seems like whatever culture existed prior has been falsified and amplified with Union characteristics which is really interesting.

going further id imagine a series of shanties and shacks (like the current city 8 OL) but geared with fortifications and firing holes in the buildings, maybe a few canisters all about, a burnt out APC, you get the gist

i think we need a city in good old limrick
daily stabbin and smack heads line the streets as the cps are as dosed out as the junkies
rebels cant get good supplies so they use tesco shopping bags as masks and hard eggs as weapons

Used to be a massive TF2 player and played as a Pro Spy. Gave it up to play GMod RP.

Tiny as fuck thing, but I stopped bitching about them and started to make curved roads.
Not sure why I shat on them so much given that I could put them together in about five minutes on my first go.
I suppose it was something I held over from when I started, at least that's over now. No more square corners for me.
