They've just released an update aimed at newer players, you'll now only get matched with people who have very high behaviour scores (aka non asshats)

dota may seem pointless when you first start but I swear once you have that first game that YOU are the reason you won or just when you've kicked ass you'll be hooked

id never played a moba or even a mmo when I started playing dota because a friend forced me to and honestly once you get hooked it's great as you're finding out all this cool shit

tldr try again there won't be RU warriors this time honest

if you want to get back into doto, a great way is to use a site like https://playerbase.gg/dota2 to find players who are similar to you in terms of seriousness and skill level, I used it and now i'm playing offlane for a tier 4 battlecup team and it's pretty nice
