get a 1070 or above if you want your graphics card to hold up for the next 2-3 years otherwise it looks alright

i have no idea anything to do with comps tbh, my friend suggested i get that one and wait until my dad sends over my old one and use them both.

that current one should be able to play outer worlds, bl3 and rust just fine tho right

how drastic of a difference is 1060, 1070 and 2070 anyway? 2070 is better than 1070 right? the 2070 is cheaper than the 1070, at about 451GBP but only because it's on discount

tagging @Ond since you suggested 1070

ah
so
2070 much better?

yea but unless you are going to be running 4k it isn't worth it

i run 1440p on a 1070ti and get by just fine and that's with an i5 46k and 8 ram + 8vram

kinda hard to explain but the short answer is no

you can run 4k without a 4k screen but you cant run a 4k screen without a 4k ready machine because it'll be your native resolution

running 4k in games just makes everything look better at a MUCH higher price because you crank up the texture sizes manually and you can do it without a 4k screen

i'd go 1440p 120/144 hrz screen rather than a 4k because chances are you'll never afford a beefy enough machine to run it natively if a

basically

you can run 4k without a 4k screen, but won't get anything out of it except bad performance and novelty that wears off after a while

4k isn't worth it, nor are the screens because it'll force your computer to run at 4k resolution when playing ANY game which is REALLY taxing

plus they are really expensive

go for the middleground of a 1440p 144hz screen. ASUS make good screens, am using one myself and can recommend

Why use a 2TB drive when you can buy 6-8TB drives if you sacrifice RPM speeds, often for just $50 more too. Won’t make much of a difference unless you 100% think it will bottleneck your pc.

Should use a SSD for your OS though.
