fresh advice as someone who's been through earthquakes for anyone in that area;
don't think it's over now, stay weary

in the christchurch quakes we've had over 30,000 aftershocks in the past 5 years, it's still fuckin going

This is what happens when crappy historical buildings are left in the most seismic risk area of the whole country, this could have been easily avoided with proper construction, all geologist and expert said that. Just to remind, afterwards the last, terrible earthquake in L'Aquila (right in the nearby region and in the same high risk area) wiretapping was recovered by the police of people actually laughing, the very same night, because of all the money they could have done by speculating on the reconstruction.
