spending some time up in the north island with the whanau, we did the tongiriro crossing which takes us between mount tongariro and mount ngauruhoe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongariro_Alpine_Crossing), i've got some images of some battlegrounds in the og lotr, the mountain the eye of sauron was on as well as the gate of mordor.

never saw the movie myself but i figured some of you fellas might appreciate it. I'll put a spoiler down cus there's a few images
