Fixed Joining Server issue

I have this issue with GMod atm where I can't connect to any multiplayer server for some reason

it gets stuck at either 'Connecting to server...' or 'Authenticating with Steam...' and a minute later, it crashes

but it also crashes Steam for some reason

So far, I've tried:

• Verifying cache
• restarting pc
• uninstalling and reinstalling GMod
• deleting all addons

still nothing. Anybody know how to fix?

Try connecting and then tab out of the game until its done. Don't tab in.

Don't worry, I've fixed this

I put something in my autorun called -autoconfig which fixed the issue

still don't know why it happened in the first place tho

Yeah, I don't know why but unless I tab out when connecting my game crashes. Thought you had the same problem.
