I'm trying to use an Xbox One Headset which has the audio jack spot on it for my mic. My PC won't register it, I'm using a standard audio cable. It'll only pic up the headphone part of it.

Any help?

Whenever I plug them in I'm prompted with this menu

It won't let me select more than one and when I select Mic In it won't pick up the headphones nor the mic, when I select headphone it recognizes only the headphones.

I think it may be an issue with the drivers but it's an Xbox One mic so there's not really a place to get them.

Brand's polygon if anyone ends up being able to find them.

if youve only plugged it into the headset jack on your pc, it wont even look for a mic

you need a splitter so you can plug the headset into the headphones and microphone jacks

this worked for me and i use an xbox headset

If you're using a unified 3.5 jack, that's essentially what's going wrong.

There are rings on a 3.5mm jack that essentially are what it's for. Usually 2 green rings signifying L and R signal input for the headphones, and another seperate 3.5mm jack with a single pink ring for the mic. Xbox headsets unify this so you have one cable being plugged in.

PC's don't do that, they have a seperate mic and headphone slot, not a unified one. You'll need to buy a splitter which can split the single unified cable into the two seperate mic and headphone jacks.

Or you could get a new headset, as the one you have is pretty trash.

Buy a pair of HyperX Cloud II now that there's a black friday sale. They are pretty cheap and great! :-)
