Idk how many people listen to DG but I certainly like the stuff they release. Definitely shaping up to be one of my favorite albums of theirs as it has a completely unique sound. Each song also near seamlessly transitions into each other perfectly and the whole album sounds 10x better when listened to together.

various reasons for everyone
for me its probably the punk aspect, a lot of their music is either just straight up heavy punk influenced and otherwise its just the kind of feeling you get listening to it thats similar to most old punk rock

listening to death grips is like the same as playing the manhunt games on ps2

it's cult following, done to achieve some sort of edge status - realistically, who would unironically play a game about a death row inmate killing people for a snuff film like you do in manhunt?

I can say the exact same thing about country music or heavy metal - some people simply like it while I can’t stand it

It’s more of an acquired taste than anything. I personally like them because their songs are so vastly different than any of the music released today

I’ve never been to /mu/ and had never heard of Anthony Fantano before I heard death grips. The music they produce is satisfyingly in your face and loud
